Nibali on the podium, Sagan in the green jersey and seven stages won: this is the fantastic outcome of the Tour de France 2012 for Rudy Project, which has deployed advanced technologies, taking home an amazing achievement.
Always in the lead in sporting competitions, Rudy Project has once again made its mark in the Grande Boucle, as the Tour is known in France. The race soon opened with the revelation of the year: Peter Sagan of the Liquigas-Cannondale Team, who with his three stage wins and a record-breaking performance, won the green jersey and went down in the history of the Tour as the youngest winner of the points classification. Next in line among the athletes wearing Rudy Project were André Greipel of Lotto-Belisol, also with three stage wins, and Luis León Sánchez of Rabobank, who won the 14th stage.
The true star of this year’s Tour was confirmed as Vincenzo Nibali of the Liquigas-Cannondale Team, who, stage after stage, with great determination, moved up the classification until reaching the third step of the podium.
If we look back at the most challenging moments, there were the Liquigas-Cannondale champions, prominent as a group thanks to their helmets and glasses with the coolest color of the year—Yellow Fluo.
Liquigas-Cannondale turned to good account the extraordinary performance of the top-of-the-line cycling helmet Windmax™ and, in the time trial, the fantastic helmets for racing against the clock - the Wingspan™, whose aerodynamic efficiency was tested in a wind tunnel by the guru John Cobb.
After its incredible success with the Sterling Yellow Fluo helmet, Rudy Project decided to extend its application to numerous products: present in a preview version at this Tour de France, Windmax and Wingspan will be available to the public in a fluorescent version beginning in September.
To complete the display of technology on the faces of the champions in the Grande Boucle, the cycling glasses that have made Rudy Project famous throughout the world could not be left out. Perfect for increasing performance, they have made the difference in racing by contributing to maximum levels of concentration, protection, peripheral visibility and an optimal view of the route. Nibali chose the Noyz Racing Pro™ customized to protect his face, Sagan and Greipel, on the other hand, chose Genetyk Racing Pro™, while Sánchez opted for the new Ryzer Racing™ glasses with Yellow Fluo frames.
