Tour of California: Double Victory for Rudy Project

Sagan wins 5 stages in Tour of California with Rudy Project

Enthusiasm at the Rudy Project house: On Sunday, May 20, the 2012 Tour of California came to an end, with a double conquest. The stage race closed out with excellent performances by the athletes racing for the title: pedals pumping, Rabobank's Robert Gesink climbed to the podium after the most exciting tour in the USA, having won the yellow jersey. The cycling world also had cheers for the performance by the extraordinary Peter Sagan, from team Liquigas-Cannondale, winner of 5 of the 8 stages. An earthshaking outcome, with repercussions in the international press, where Rudy Project and its technology played a leading role. For the long hours of the race both champions had chosen to endorse cutting-edge products from the Rudy Project collection, designed to boost performances by the athletes and to always get the most under any weather conditions. The ergonomic design tested by the top international athletes, avant-garde materials for lightening the weight of the glasses, exclusive lenses for relaxing the eyes and overcoming any vision problems. Fully customized: A winning formula that also made the difference for Robert Gesink, who wiped out all his competitive rivals in a performance built on consistency and grit. The king of the tour endorsed one of the sunglasses most requested by cyclists and the flagship of the Rudy Project product range, Noyz, in the White Pearl version customized with bright orange temple tips and Multilaser Orange lenses. A choice in keeping with the team colors and technically perfect owing to the extreme lightness of the Grilamid® frame, comfortable and ideal for the longest and most exhausting stages. A faithful uphill companion and an indispensable ally underneath the California sun, Noyz was victorious on the podium and won the attention of spectators. On the other hand, Sagan's allies in victory were the ultralight Windmax cycling helmet and the Genetyk Racing Pro White cycling glasses, with two sets of lenses: Multilaser Blu for sunny days - whose reflective surface enhances relaxation of the eyes - and the special Photochromic Red ImpactX for greater versatility in variable weather conditions, also very handy in case of falls since they are crash-resistant. The Windmax is also a five-time champion, standing out as the most advanced helmet with its 21 vents and top-level functionality. Among its exclusive features is Fibratek Geometry reinforcement fabric, which ensures maximum protection while preserving the light weight of the helmet.
