Rudy Project has just completed a stunning double play in its conquest of Outside Magazine, the most famous and prestigious mass-marketed magazine for sports enthusiasts in the United States. In its special 2008 Buyer’s Guide, Rudy Project received the highly sought-after 2008 Gear of the Year award with two items from its new collection: the Zyon Sailing sunglasses and the Zuma helmet.
With a monthly circulation of nearly three million people who read the print and electronic editions throughout the United States, Outside recognized the Zyon Sailing sunglasses as the top product in its category with the best technological evolution, underscoring their high-tech features – from the photochromic lenses with the special polarization formula that makes it easier to read onboard instruments, to the frame, and the optical supports – and their cool look. The Zuma helmet, on the other hand, was featured in the Killer Deal category for its technical performance, stream-lined design and very competitive pricing.
“We are really proud of these awards – Simone Barbazza, head of marketing of the Rudy Project affirms - and not just because they are from the leading outdoor sports magazine in a market (the USA) that for Rudy Project is the pulse point of the industry. These are important achievements – Barbazza continued – that particularly recognize our constant attention to innovation - both technologically and aesthetically - of all our products, specifically designed for sports enthusiasts”.
