Without the sun insert, MAYA is an all-purpose pair of glasses. With the sun insert, MAYA is perfect for sporting activity: simply by flipping the lens up or down you can adjust to sudden changes in light as they occur, for example upon entering a tunnel or the woods. Moreover, to ensure maximum performance under all conditions, the gap between the frame and lens is covered by a brow piece that prevents light from filtering through.
To always ensure top performance under every atmospheric and environmental condition, the flip-up sun filter is available with a wide variety of lenses. The Red Multilaser, characterized by a triple mirrored layer on the surface, guarantees a stunning range of colors, resistance and protection from the solar radiation under every condition. They are perfect for summertime bicycle races or in every situation that requires eye protection against intense light. On the other hand, for races that pass through tunnels or heavy foliage, Rudy Project offers ImpactX™ Photocromic Clear™, the result of latest-generation photochromatic technology that provides unprecedented management of light: the lenses actually darken within a few seconds whenever light intensity increases.
